swine flu is super scary. so i had to at least mention that the epidemic hasn't gone unnoticed by us @ the big house. i've asked the district's information technology department what we can do to keep the computers clean(er). and they've instructed us to spray lysol onto a rag and wipe the rag over the mice and keyboards and power buttons, etc. and we will.
the IT dept also recommended putting a bottle of purell hand sanitizer by each computer to promote proper hand hygiene. but we can't afford to do that right now, and even if we could, frankly, i'd be worried about the bottles walking away, if you know what i mean. so, for now, there'll be no purell in the library, unless parents or students want to donate a bottle to us now and then.
but that's only half the battle. the other half is getting you guys to wash your hands more often! seriously, if only for your own health, you should. schools are like the petrie dishes of pandemics! so you wash up, we'll wipe down. be aware of the signs and symptoms. and stay home if you're seriously sick! hopefully that'll be enough to keep casa pig-flu free! =)
