i didn't know what a "harlem shake" was until this tuesday.
my library ta's taught me. and wiki helped too.

on wednesday, a student suggested we do one in our library and a number of other students nearby got really into it, too.
they set up a facebook page and spread the word around campus.
students who would normally have nothing to do with each other worked together collaboratively and productively.
and they did everything themselves -- the staging, the filming, the directing, the editing, and the special effects.
i did nothing except supervise (and require everyone be fully clothed). :)
the result may seem (to most people over 30) a little weird, but it was a lot of fun!
and as high school harlem shakes go, well, our was truly epic, at least we think so. ;)
