go to books.google.com
 

 
type in a subject/topic
 

 
click on the link to any book with a preview.

or click "add to my library" if you're signed in to your gmail account.
 

 
the terms you searched for will be highlighted in the google book.

on the right by the scroll bar you can see all the instances
where those terms occur in the book and click to jump to them.

copy the link and bookmark it on your delicious account.
or click "add to my library".

scroll through the book to read it online or
click "find in a library" to borrow it at a nearby library.

carefully read and retype any text you want to quote
since you can't copy and paste from google books.

cite this book on EasyBib.com.
(make sure you login to EasyBib!)

click "about this book" and find the ISBN at the bottom.
there may be two ISBNs, just pick one.

paste the ISBN into the book tab on EasyBib
and click create citation.
